The army is primarily almost entirely drawn from the Order of War. Occasionally elements of the other orders will be requested as specialists for an issue such as Ferrum to who may provide enchanted weapons or weavers who can create temporary fortifications that mimic the Bulwarks, but for the most part the Order of War is the shield between the rest of the Orders and the outside world.
The majority of Syradonia is built around a central cavern so a large amount of the military is dedicated to defense. The High Bulwak is a gigantic gateway that leads into the earth, with several layers of stone walls inlaid with metal and defensive magic, with many battlements and fortresses designed to allow Syradonia to control any battle against invasion. In the worst case of a full blown attack this will delay any force attacking them, though until now the Order or War has been able to resist any force attacking this close to home.
The practice of bulwarks is used frequently underground, though on a smaller scale, as caverns are excavated and new sections of the city are created. They will often deploy a smaller bulwark as the first thing when excavating a new space to give somewhere safe and sturdy to fall back to in case of cave-ins, attacks or other disturbances. These bulwarks sometimes become checkpoints between various parts of the city when needed although there is no major bureaucracy for them.
This practice is also used in war; while Sydonians are extremely capable defenders they relish the opportunity to push forward and fight in formation and show the full might of the weapons and armour they create so diligently.
The Apostles
The Order of War primarily deploys the Apostles, some clad in blackened heavy armour and wicked blunt and gemstone weapons. With the defense of the citizens frequently on the line and the Apostles very aware that they are all that stands between the incredible danger of the world they use shock and awe tactics to strike fear into their enemies hearts. Using their environment to their advantage whenever possible and ambushing before revealing the light on their armour and tearing down their enemies
The Hewers
These operate on similar principles to the Apostles but tend to be much lighter armoured and fight inside various tunnels in small groups with weapons that can work in tight spaces and coordinate to flank and use every possible advantage the tunnels offer. Hewers are masters of difficult terrain and function much better in a tough and unwieldy environment than open territory. When they do venture to the surface they are noted as being more than happy to test their skills at recreating, adapting and creating their tactics on a variety of strange places and keen to see how they can use new tools to their advantage.

Magical Support
Syradonia makes ample use of its enchanters and weavers to arm and defend its troops. Weavings are used to create fortifications where possible, some still in use and other ruins jutting out the ground from excursions to the surface.
The crafting engine of Syradonia is vast and they seek to make sure that all their troops have every advantage they can. While this can make Syradonia a tough force to fight against, their specialisms and the cost of outfitting their troops can make it difficult to replace them when the worst does happen.
